Player Guide

Welcome to Azyrium! This guide covers your first steps on the server.

First steps

  1. Join the lobby. When you log in you arrive in the lobby — your hub to reach every part of the server.
  2. Open the menu. Type /menu to open the server menu. From there you can teleport to the worlds, check your balance, manage your guild, and open the Shop.
  3. Pick where to play: - Resource World — gather blocks and resources freely. - Construction World — build and claim land (with your guild). - Dungeons Gate — enter the dungeon dimension. - Sanctum — the dimension to start the Azyrium modpack.
  4. Set a home. Use /sethome <name> so you can return any time with /home <name>.
  5. Get back fast. /spawn and /lobby teleport you back (a short 5‑second delay — don't move).

Exact perks per rank are configured on the server; in‑game /kit and the menu always show what your current rank can use.

Azyrium is a multi‑world server. Reach every world from /menu.

Lobby

Your hub when you join. No building or combat here — just a place to choose where to go.

Spawn

The main social area. Use /spawn to return (short delay).

Resource World

Gather freely — mine, chop, and collect resources. Great for stocking up without touching builds. Use /rtp to drop in at a random safe spot.

Construction World

Where you build and claim land with your guild. Claims protect your area from other players (see Guilds). Use /rtp or the menu to get there.

Dungeons Gate

The entry to the dungeon dimension — face custom mobs and bosses. (More dungeon content is on the way!)

Sanctum

The dimension to start the Azyrium modpack, reachable from the menu.

Tips

  • /sethome <name> works across worlds — set homes wherever you settle.
  • If you fall into the void in a protected area, you're automatically returned to spawn.
  • Protected areas (lobby, spawn, dungeons gate) block building, breaking and PvP.

Open crates to win random rewards! Crates come in four tiers:

Vote → Rare → Epic → Legendary

How crates work

  • Each crate is a physical block on the server with an animated opening.
  • You need a key of the matching tier to open a crate.
  • Rewards are random and weighted — rarer rewards drop less often.

How to get keys

  • Vote for the server to earn Vote keys — the easiest way to get rewards for free.
  • Higher‑tier keys (Rare, Epic, Legendary) can be obtained through events and the web store.

Opening a crate

  1. Get a key of the crate's tier.
  2. Right‑click the crate block with the key.
  3. Watch the opening animation and claim your reward!

Tip: check the crate's preview to see the possible rewards and their chances before you open.

Play fair and keep Azyrium fun for everyone. Breaking these rules can lead to mutes, kicks, or bans.

  1. No cheating. No hacked clients, X‑ray, exploits, macros or any unfair advantage.
  2. No griefing or stealing. Don't damage or take from builds that aren't yours. Claim your land in Construction to stay protected.
  3. Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or excessive toxicity in chat or voice.
  4. No spam or advertising. Don't spam chat or advertise other servers/services.
  5. Keep it appropriate. No NSFW builds, names, or content.
  6. No scamming. Honor your trades and deals with other players.
  7. One account, play legit. No alt‑abuse to bypass punishments or duplicate rewards.
  8. Report, don't retaliate. Found a bug or a rule‑breaker? Report it on Discord (/discord) instead of abusing it.

Staff decisions are final. Rules may be updated — check back here and on Discord.

Dungeons

Azyrium features hand-crafted procedural dungeons — each run generates a unique layout,

so no two adventures are the same.

The Clockworks

The Clockworks is the first dungeon dimension, accessible from Dungeons Gate.

*Beyond the edges of the world turns the Great Clock: the vast brass engine that forges every
second of the mortal realm. The realm that houses it — endless halls of copper, deepslate and
ticking light — is called the Clockworks.*

The Clockworks is divided into interconnected cells: stone corridors, brass-lit chambers and

dead-end vaults. Navigate through the prison-like grid, reach the boss arena, and claim your

reward before the clock runs out.

Getting there

  1. Open /menu and enter Dungeons Gate.
  2. Speak to The Tick — the last loyal gear of the Great Clock.
  3. Accept her call: "I will tear out the cogs." — this starts the The Clockworks quest chapter.
  4. Pass through the portal in Dungeons Gate to enter the dungeon.

Layout

  • Rooms are arranged in a connected grid — no room is floating, every door leads somewhere.
  • The path always leads to the boss arena: a copper-and-deepslate colosseum at the heart of the dimension.
  • Exits are clearly marked. /spawn and /lobby always work as emergency escapes.

Loot

  • Rare drops from dungeon mobs.
  • Key of Hours — dropped by the final boss (see Bosses). Required to unlock the next Hour.

Coming Soon — The Hours

Defeating the Keeper of Hours and claiming the Key of Hours lets you raise a Dungeon Doorway

a placeable portal that opens the sealed Hours: deeper dimensions, harder bosses, greater rewards.

Hour Boss Theme
The Clockworks (now) Keeper of Hours Brass duel, the filter
The Hour of Rust The Corroded Warden Decay, oxidised copper, slowing
The Hour of Echoes The Split Second Repetition, clones
The Hour of Stillness The Frozen Noon Frozen time, blinding light
The Final Hour The Last Hand Endgame — the Clock's last guardian
The Hours beyond The Clockworks are coming in future updates. Claim the Key of Hours now
to be ready when they open.

Tips

  • Gear up first. The dungeon mobs are aggressive. Bring armor and food.
  • The boss is a wall of entry — it is meant to be a real challenge.
  • You can leave and re-enter (portal in Dungeons Gate stays open).
  • Check your FTB Quests (E key) for the The Clockworks chapter — it tracks your progress

and rewards you at each milestone.

Bosses

Azyrium's bosses are not world events — they are gatekeepers. Each one stands between you and

the next chapter. Expect a real fight.

The Keeper of Hours

First boss. Guardian of the First Hour. Warden of the Clockworks.

"Mind the final hour, when it sheds its blade."

The Keeper of Hours is the first and oldest guardian of the Great Clock. A relentless duellist

who bends time against you — quickening, slowing, splitting moments. It does not tire. It does not

negotiate.

Location

Inside the Clockworks dungeon arena — reached via Dungeons Gate (see Dungeons).

Combat

The Keeper of Hours is a multi-phase boss that grows more dangerous as it loses health.

Phase Behaviour
Phase 1–2 Fast melee combos, armoured and stun-immune
Phase 3–4 Parry-and-riposte: it blocks and counterattacks
Phase 5 "Sheds its blade" — launches ChronoVolley (burst of 15 arrows in a spread); aerial barrages

Key mechanics:

  • Stun-immune — knockback, launch and stun effects do not work on this boss.
  • Parry — the Keeper blocks melee hits and strikes back. Don't spam attacks.
  • ChronoVolley — in the final phase, dodgeable arrow spreads are telegraphed before firing.
  • Aerial phase — the boss rises and fires volleys from above; stay mobile.

Rewards

  • Key of Hours — the Horologists' master key. Required to open a Dungeon Doorway and choose which sealed Hour to enter next.
  • XP + rare drops.

Tips

  • Bring high-tier armor and enchantments — this is an intentional difficulty wall.
  • Do not spam attacks — the parry punishes button-mashers.
  • Watch for the title announcement when the boss changes phase.
  • When you see the aerial telegraph, move sideways to dodge the volley cone.
  • You can attempt the boss as many times as needed — there is no entry limit.

Coming Soon

More bosses are in development, each tied to an Hour of the Clockworks:

  • The Corroded Warden — Hour of Rust
  • The Split Second — Hour of Echoes
  • The Frozen Noon — Hour of Stillness
  • The Last Hand — The Final Hour (endgame)

Follow updates on our Discord (/discord).

Quests (FTB Quests)

Azyrium uses FTB Quests to track your progression and reward milestones. Open the quest book

with the E key (or the book icon in your inventory screen).

The Clockworks — quest chapter

The first quest chapter follows your journey into the Clockworks dungeon.

Quest Objective Reward
A Visitor of Flesh and Breath Speak to The Tick in Dungeons Gate XP
The First Cog Enter the Clockworks dimension XP
Delve the Clockworks Prison Reach the Prison of Hours XP
Still the First Hour Defeat the Keeper of Hours and claim the Key of Hours XP + Rare Artifact Ticket
The Clock Still Turns (teaser — the Hours await…)

Starting the chapter

Talk to The Tick in Dungeons Gate and choose "I will tear out the cogs." — this

completes the first quest and unlocks the rest of the chapter.

Tips

  • Quest progress is per-player — completing a quest rewards you personally.
  • The Rare Artifact Ticket from "Still the First Hour" can be redeemed for a rare item reward.
  • More quest chapters are planned as dungeon content expands.

FAQ

Answers to common questions about Azyrium.

How do I join the server?

Download the Azyrium launcher from our website and follow the installer. The launcher sets up

the modpack automatically. You can also find the IP on our Discord.

What modpack does the server use?

The server runs a custom Forge 1.20.1 modpack. It includes EpicFight (combat system),

FTB Quests, and a range of quality-of-life and exploration mods. The launcher handles everything.

How do I earn coins?

Defeat hostile mobs — many drop coins. Run /moneyinfo to see the full list. You can also

sell items on the Auction House (/ah) and receive payments from other players (/pay).

How do I claim land?

Land claims work in the Construction World only. Create or join a guild (/guild) and

use /guild claim to protect your chunks. Claimed land costs coins. See Guilds.

What are donor ranks?

Forsaken → Sentinel → Harbinger → Overlord are purchasable ranks that unlock extra homes,

stronger kits, and comfort commands. They never provide combat advantages over free players.

See Ranks & Perks and the web store (/store).

How do I vote?

Use /vote to get the voting links. Each vote earns you a Vote Key — open crates in the

crate area for random rewards. See Crates & Voting.

What is the Dungeons Gate?

The Dungeons Gate is the entry hub for dungeon content. Speak to The Tick there to begin

your journey into the Clockworks. See Dungeons.

The Keeper of Hours killed me. Can I try again?

Yes — there is no entry limit. Head back to Dungeons Gate, re-enter the portal, and try again.

The boss resets between attempts.

I bought something on the shop but didn't receive it.

Run /shop claim in-game to collect web store purchases. If the item still doesn't appear,

open a ticket on Discord with your order confirmation.

How do I report a bug or player?

Join our Discord (/discord) and use the appropriate channel. Do not abuse bugs —

report them instead (see Rules).

Can I use OptiFine / Sodium / shaders?

The launcher includes its own optimisation mods (Embeddium, Oculus). Adding conflicting

clients is not officially supported. Shaders are supported via Oculus, included in the pack.

I lost connection / the server restarted mid-dungeon. What happened to my progress?

The Clockworks dimension resets on server restart. Your Key of Hours (if already in your

inventory) is kept, but any dungeon progress (room state, boss HP) is lost. Re-enter after the

server comes back up.
